In the following 10 years he trained in plastic surgery at major hospital units in Sweden, New Zealand, Melbourne and in his hometown, Adelaide. Dr Hamilton gained his specialist qualification Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, FRACS. The Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons title is awarded to surgeons who have complete a minimum of 12 years of medical and surgical education, including at least 5 years of postgraduate training.
