COVID-19 Response to Reconstructive – Hand Surgery and Skin Cancer

COVID-19 Response to Reconstructive – Hand Surgery and Skin Cancer

In keeping with SA Health Guidelines on the Management of Coronavirus, if you have travelled overseas in the last 14 days or been in close contact with a person sick with COVID-19 infection please stay in self-quarantine and do not come into Hamilton House.

If you are booked to come for a consultation with Dr Richard Hamilton or for a day surgery procedure, you will notice a number of changes.

Just outside the entrance to Hamilton House there is a trolley with notices you must read. There is alcohol hand rub to disinfect your hands. Please use prior to entry.

On entry the staff will measure your forehead temperature with an infrared thermometer.

They will be asking additional screening questions prior to your admission regarding your general state of health and your travelling history.

Strict hand hygiene will be observed at all stages of your transition through Hamilton House. Staff may be wearing masks, but if you are feeling well you need not wear a mask.

Dr Hamilton will not normally wear a mask for consultations but he will during surgery especially if carried out on the face.

Please do not bring any non essential people for your appointment – just one person maximum. Please observe social distancing of 1.5 metre spacing in the waiting room where there is only space for 5 persons max. Appointments are being spaced out to facilitate social distancing.

Relatives or carers may decide to wait in their cars or in the sub waiting area we have set up in the garage.

You will not be able to attend your appointment if you have travelled overseas in the last 14 days or been in close contact with a person sick with COVID-19 infection. Please inform Hamilton House staff by phone on 8272 6666 if you have any flu like signs or symptoms.

Dr Richard Hamilton and the staff at Hamilton House Plastic Surgery are committed to the health, safety and well being of our patients.

Thank you for your assistance.
