History

hamiltonhouse7856

Hamilton House is an Art Deco two storey building from the late 1930’s designed by distinguished Adelaide architect, Jack Cheesman. Built originally as a surgeon’s residence and consulting rooms for noted Adelaide surgeon Dr. Escourt Hughes, Hamilton House was a landmark on Goodwood Road when the suburb was originally called Hollywood, before its name change to Cumberland Park. Together with architect A.R. (Tui) Reynolds, of Brown Falconer Architects, Hamilton House was tastefully modified by Dr. Richard Hamilton in the late 1990’s, to become the modern, exclusive, state of the art private plastic surgery practice as it is today.
